Pasco-Hernando Community College

Spring Hill Center

Scope:

Selected as the Architect for the Master Plan and Phase 1 Development for the PHCC Spring Hill Center, FLA began design through a series of Master Plan workshops with a 20-member committee. The College was thoroughly represented, from the President to the Vice-President and all departments.  Due to the community and  environmental sensitivity of the site, FLA took great care addressing concerns with a green building design approach appropriate to both the site and PHCC mission.

The $43 million first phase will includes seven buildings, including facilities, maintenance and chiller plant, and is designed for maximum use flexibility and infrastructure for ultimate program build-out several decades into the future.  Initially, the center houses administration, library/media center with flex space, science labs, and other classrooms with related offices and storage spaces with circulation space doubling as collaborative and gathering spaces.
