The Bear Jones Moore Reeves Center for Math and Advanced Technology is Phase II of a 2-phase project that consists of a 40,747 GSF, facility plus a Rooftop Terrace.\u00a0 <\/span>The 2-story areas of this state-of-the-art facility include classrooms, faculty offices, computer and information science labs, a work room, an administrative lobby, a main lobby, adjunct workstations, IT\/MDF area, emerging technologies lab, prototyping area, seminar\/conference room, and more. The Rooftop Terrace is a 5,386.64 GSF area with a multipurpose space, vestibule, vending\/break area, faculty offices, storage\/custodial rooms and restrooms.<\/p>

The first phase of this project included the demolition and replacement of an existing building with a new two-story state-of-the-art facility which is home to an Emerging Technologies Lab, Math Suite, Main Tech Distribution Facility, Computer & Electronic Engineering Technology Lab, Lobby & Collaborative Mall\/Exhibit\/Display area, Collaborative Smart Classroom, open Computer\/Tutoring Lab, Computer & Information Science Lab, Cyber Security & Information Assurance Lab, and a Cyber Forensics Lab. The new 25,389 GSF facility replaces the existing 60-year-old Mary Ellison Baars Building on the Pensacola Campus.<\/p>

FLA designs LEED\u00ae and Green Globes accredited buildings using the most innovative products, materials, and technologies available and our priority is to create state-of-the-art systems that provide the highest level of energy efficiency, air quality, comfort, and cost-effectiveness. The PSC Baars Building is a Green Building Initiative with a projected goal of Three Globes Certification.
