Scope:

FLA, along engineers Harper-Buchanan and Schmidt Consulting Engineers, provided serices-in-kind for the planning and design of the new Military Park to honor all branches of the military. Officially opened on August 14, 2012, the park features an outer brick wall of five points, each representing a branch of the military with light plaque. The inner brick paver walkway encircles a large tree and is interspersed with various monument plaques and brick pavers purchased by donors to recognize community supporters and individual service men and wormen. The American flag waving from the 40 ft. pole is an impressive sight crossing the Hathaway Bridge, or from almost any point with a mile of the college.
