FLA Supports #claimaclassroom
Florida Architects knows the vital importance of education and with a major portion of FLA’s projects in the educational field, it’s no wonder they wanted to participate in the Bay District Schools #Claimaclassroom initiative. This initiative was created after Hurricane Michael devastated the Bay County area. Valli Sorci, FLA Director of Operations, was proud to claim Ms. Williams’ 7th grade Reading/Language Arts class at Merritt Brown Middle School.
Teachers spend thousands of dollars of their own money making their classrooms amazing and neither the Bay District School’s insurance nor FEMA could reimburse them for those items lost in Hurricane Michael back in October 2018.
Florida Architects was happy to make a $500 donation to Ms. Williams’ classroom along with bean bag chairs and snacks. FLA encourages others to join in this effort to help teachers continue to make a difference in students’ lives.
