IRSC KIGHT CENTER FOR EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Scope:

The 4-story Kight Center for Emerging Technologies is a showplace for state-of-the-art technology, manufacturing and teacher education. Encompassing 126,538 GSF, the Kight Center is IRSC’s largest and most technologically sophisticated facility. The Center is designed to enrich economic development by serving as a business resource and innovative learning environment to prepare a highly skilled workforce. The Kight Center for Emerging Technologies includes IRSC’s Digital Media Institute, Robotics/Photonics Institute, and CyberSecurity Institute, as well as distance learning opportunities in nuclear medicine and other fields.

An exciting component to the building is the two-story imaging dome with a 360° video screen with complete Internet and Network interconnectivity. Additional learning space includes a partial imaging dome that can be separated into two interactive classrooms.

Flat screens are located throughout the building displaying various types of information including classes in session, meetings, demonstrations, world news, etc.  

Located in the atrium lobby space is a 20′ x 20′ digital display, which enhances the use of the space for large gatherings, presentations and general information.
